UI/UX Design

UI/UX that engineering can ship

We map how people actually complete tasks in your product, then translate that into wireframes, high-fidelity screens, clickable prototypes, and design systems your developers can implement in React, WordPress, Shopify, or mobile — or we stay on as the build team.

Design that reduces rework — not decks that sit in Notion

When navigation hides the one action users came for, or checkout adds steps “for branding,” the cost shows up in support queues and analytics — not in a design critique. We work from tasks: what someone is trying to finish, what they need to see at each step, and where they bail when the UI is ambiguous.

Representative work on our portfolio includes patient portal journeys, fashion ecommerce browse-to-cart paths, and fitness app onboarding — each scoped as flows first, pixels second. Handoff packages include spacing, component behavior notes, and responsive frames so your team — or our Web & SaaS and Mobile engineers — is not guessing intent from a single desktop mockup.

Fit

This service is a fit when you need

Evolva delivery

Clarity before code

Figma systems, interactive prototypes, and specs that survive contact with production code.

Written milestones, staging you can share, and production on AWS when you need certified cloud delivery — without a second vendor in the middle.

Capabilities

What a UI/UX engagement produces

Five workstreams you can buy alone or chain into a full product definition.

01

UX strategy & flow design

We document primary and secondary journeys — signup, purchase, booking, settings — with decision points, permissions, and offline/error paths. Output: FigJam maps and annotated flow diagrams tied to analytics or support tickets when you share them.

  • Task analysis & edge-case inventory
  • Information architecture & nav models
  • Content requirements per screen
02

Wireframes & interactive prototypes

Gray-scale layouts for fast iteration, then linked prototypes with realistic copy and micro-interactions. Stakeholders test flows on their phones before sprint planning commits to build order.

  • Low-fi → high-fi progression
  • Prototype links for async review
  • Optional moderated user tests (5–8 sessions)
03

Visual UI & responsive layouts

Brand-aligned screens at mobile, tablet, and desktop breakpoints. We check contrast for WCAG AA on type and controls, specify focus order for keyboard users, and call out where marketing imagery vs. system icons belong.

  • Typography & color application
  • Grid, spacing, and component specs
  • Dark mode or theme variants when scoped
04

Design systems & component libraries

Reusable Figma components with variants (size, state, density) and exported tokens for dev. New features stay visually consistent without redesigning buttons every sprint.

  • Core components: forms, tables, modals
  • Documentation for when to use each pattern
  • Alignment to React / native implementation
05

UX audits & targeted redesigns

Structured review of an live product: heuristics, funnel drop-offs, and accessibility gaps ranked by severity. You get a fix roadmap — sometimes one checkout or onboarding flow — not a vague “make it modern.”

  • Screen recordings & heuristic notes
  • Before/after flow recommendations
  • Redesign UI for agreed scope only
06

Handoff & implementation pairing

Inspect-ready Figma, export guidelines, and a walkthrough with engineering. When you engage us for build, designers join standups through launch to catch spacing, state, and regression issues early.

  • Dev Mode specs & asset exports
  • Interaction notes for engineers
  • Design QA on staging before release
Process

How design projects run with us

A four-step rhythm that protects budget: structure before polish, polish before handoff.

01

Kickoff & evidence

Goals, users, constraints, and existing brand assets. We review analytics, support themes, or competitor patterns you care about — then freeze scope for this phase in writing.

02

Flows & wireframes

Navigation and screen skeletons for approval. Changes here are cheap; we resist jumping to final UI until flows survive a stakeholder walkthrough.

03

Visual design & prototype

High-fidelity screens, component updates, and a clickable prototype. Optional user tests inform one consolidated revision round per milestone.

04

Handoff & build support

Organized Figma files, token summary, and live handoff meeting. If we build, design QA continues through staging sign-off; if you build, we remain available for clarification hours.

Ways to contract design work

From a two-week audit to design-through-launch with engineering on the same squad.

Focused design sprint

One product area — onboarding, checkout, dashboard module — from flows to dev-ready UI.

Timeline: 2–5 weeks Output: Figma + prototype After: Your dev team builds

Design + build (Evolva)

Designers and engineers share milestones; handoff is continuous, not a file dump at the end.

Timeline: Matches build plan Output: Live product After: Retainer or internal team

UX audit & roadmap

Diagnose friction in a live app or site; deliver ranked fixes with optional redesign of top issues.

Timeline: 1–2 weeks Output: Report + wireframes After: Phased implementation

UI/UX Design FAQs

What product and marketing leads ask before approving design budget.

Choose design-only when you have engineers who want Figma specs and will own sprints. Choose design + build when speed matters or past projects suffered from lost-in-translation handoffs. We quote each path separately so you can start with design and add build later without redoing files.
Wireframe prototypes often appear in week 1–2 depending on scope. High-fidelity clickable prototypes typically follow once flows are signed off — usually week 3–4 on a medium product surface. We share links early for async feedback so you are not waiting for a big reveal.
Yes. Provide guidelines, fonts, and component examples. We extend the system for product-specific patterns (tables, wizards, settings) rather than reinventing identity. If the brand kit is incomplete, we flag gaps before visual design starts.
Organized Figma with named components, spacing and typography specs, export rules for icons, interaction notes (hover, validation, transitions), and a walkthrough meeting. For React/Next builds we can map tokens to code variables when paired with engineering.
That is a common engagement — checkout, password reset, or admin bulk actions. We document patterns so other screens can adopt the same components over time, avoiding a second full redesign when you are ready to expand scope.
